Distributed Software Architecture

In a world of networking where information technology resources offer larger and larger calculation possibilities, and where cloud computing is a solution to many of the issues prevalent in society and Industry (energy conservation, service continuity, reductions in infrastructure costs, etc.), distributed software architectures meet the needs of the academic community just as well as those of society.

The teams at the LSI Carnot Institute are designing and validating middleware and services that enable the efficient commercialisation of large calculation infrastructures on both a national and an international scale. They are also studying the problems of scheduling within performance limits and architecture design in a heterogeneous and dynamic environment.
